Zilliqa price (ZIL), the native token for the Sharding blockchain, dropped by nearly 9% on Sunday to $0.032.
ZIL’s price dropped after recent gains were lost when the network news drove prices above 0.035.
Zilliq 1.0 goes live 25 April 2023
ZIL has risen above $0.035, after the announcement of Zilliqa v2.0 last week, which adds Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), compatibility with the Zilliqa primarynet.

As mentioned in a blog post The upgrade, which will be live on April 25th, 2023, includes full compatibility for Solidity apps as well as seamless transfers of ZIL to EVM dApps or wallets including MetaMask.
The upgrade is also set to improve Zilliqa’s speed, scalability as well make it easy for developers to build on the blockchain. Fees on Zilliqa will be cheaper than Ethereum by multiples.
