Paris Saint-German, a well-known French football club has started the sale of NFT tickets. They also have commemorative NFTs. This is their first trip to Japan since 1995 (27 year).
In their website, the club stated:
“In the summer of 2022, Paris Saint-Germain, one of the best football clubs in the world, will tour Japan! To commemorate their first visit to Japan in 27 years, we will be offering premium NFT tickets and commemorative NFTs that you can only get here and now.”
According to the announcement, 3 NFT tickets will be available for the three matches scheduled to take places in Japan. Each ticket will cost 180.36 ETH (which is more than $205k at current rates).
The commemorative NFTs, on the other hand will showcase moments captured in photos and videos during the tour. The Japan Kawasaki Frontale will host the first match on July 20. Stars like Lionel Messi will take part in the PSG match.
The ticket sale will close on Wednesday. All ticket holders will have the opportunity to enter the VIP room and join the VIP party alongside the players.
PSG crypto adoption
PSG was one of the most recent football clubs to embrace NFTs and Cryptos.
PSG announced plans to launch a NFT collection last month that will celebrate their 10th league championship as well as the year of Tiger. It will feature Taiwanese Pop Star Jay Chou. It will feature 10,000 NFTs.
Also, according to last year’s reports, Lionel Messi while signing a deal with PSG opted to receive some of his transfer package in the crypto fan tokens.
As more clubs partner with crypto organizations, it seems that the sports world is on a rising trend to adopt crypto. This partnership will provide a huge boost to Crypto firms as they can reach new investors and fans.
