In a world where people no longer have to travel long distances or stay in one place, Airwager is pioneering the next generation of on-demand platforms. This innovative company uses blockchain technology and cryptocurrency as its foundation instead of traditional energy sources, creating a decentralized home sharing system that allows anyone to contribute by renting out their property for short periods of time.
The “dtravel” is a decentralized home sharing startup that plans to disrupt the travel industry. The company has been working on this project for over a year and has already raised $3.5 million in funding from investors like Andreessen Horowitz, Union Square Ventures, and Coinbase.

What is the issue that Dtravel is attempting to solve, and why is community-owned home-sharing so important?
Platform users (e.g. hosts, guests, drivers, riders, content authors, content supporters) contribute to the platform’s development but do not profit from it or have a voice in how it is administered with existing centralized systems based on web2 technology. Cleaning firms, ride-sharing tablet advertising, and community builders, such as local host organizations and ride-sharing blogs, aren’t compensated or recognized for their contributions to the platform, its users, or the ecosystem.
This is partially due to web2’s constraints, which include the lack of methods for rewarding users and those in the ecosystem who provide value. The booking platform’s main elements, the TRVL token and the Dtravel DAO, attempt to tackle this problem.
The Dtravel website is a unique experience.
Community members and auxiliary service providers are encouraged, supported, and rewarded for contributing to the development of Dtravel by including incentive systems and offering hosts and guests inside the Dtravel ecosystem a share in the network via TRVL. This produces a virtuous cycle and flywheel effect, in which growth fuels greater growth, bringing in more users, more services, and expanding the ecosystem of players beyond what we can envision today.
Through the Grants DAO, we want to establish a slew of services that support Dtravel and make use of the TRVL token as a medium of trade and utility, opening up a world of possibilities for travel, house sharing, and self-selected jobs.
What are the advantages of using Dtravel for both hosts and guests?
Hosts pay no fees, while guests save up to 50% on other home-sharing sites and get 1% in TRVL points for each booking (VIP members get 3 percent ).
Through the Dtravel DAO, all community members who own TRVL have a voice and a vote in the network’s governance, as well as a stake in the network.
Through the Support-to-Earn initiative, all community members may earn extra incentives by donating their time and talent to supporting and expanding the community.
What is the size of the Dtravel team and where are they based?
Dtravel has approximately 40 contributors from the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Asia.
What technologies were used in the development of the Dtravel platform?
We leverage cryptocurrency payments infrastructure to reduce currency fluctuation risk when booking trips, as well as digital wallets to enable users to store several cryptocurrencies on the site.
The TRVL token, which provides critical functions inside the Dtravel network, is being developed on the Ethereum network, and DeFi will be utilized to expand the Protection pool.
NFTs represent VIP memberships for customers who value increased benefits for frequent travel, and we’re performing research and development on future roadmap items such as layer 2 solutions and on-chain interactions throughout the booking process.
We’ll also offer ways for members of the Dtravel community to have a say and vote in the platform’s governance.
What do you think the Dtravel ecosystem will look like in a few years? What will the big turning points be?
Our objective is to become the world’s biggest DAO, including members from both the crypto and non-crypto communities. Over the next several years, we’ll be focusing on providing a hosting and travel experience based on what members genuinely want and need, as determined by community ideas and feature vote. The introduction of our Sustain-to-Earn program will establish new norms for how DAOs and platforms may use their community members’ engagement and time to help support and build the ecosystem.
DAO grants and Host DAO will also let users to submit projects and earn funding to help build the Dtravel ecosystem.
What is the TRVL token’s purpose?
TRVL may be used in four ways, with additional features being added over time:
- TRVL allows guests to schedule travel.
- TRVL may be used to pay hosts.
- TRVL allows hosts to pay for value-added services.
- TRVL may be used to acquire VIP NFT Memberships from Dtravel.
- To engage on the platform and in governance, community members must stake TRVL.
- Stakeholders, both hosts and visitors, may be eligible for discounts or other incentives.
- TRVL holders have the opportunity to vote and propose recommendations in the network’s governance.
- Through the Support-to-Earn initiative, community members who contribute in network operations will get TRVL prizes.
