Ethereum Improvement Proposal – 3675 Created for Forthcoming Chain Merge EIP-3675 is a proposal for a new Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) for a further update to the existing EIP 1234. The proposed EIP is a proposal for an EIP that would help avoid the possible divergence in the Ethereum network caused by the upcoming code merge of the 1.7 branch and the the 3.0 branch.
The chain merges are a somewhat new thing on the Ethereum network, and their purpose is to prevent users from accidentally creating duplicate accounts. Unfortunately, some users have discovered a few subtle bugs in the code—bugs that caused some of their accounts to be accidentally duplicated. In response to this situation, we have created this proposal to update the code so that duplicate accounts are properly detected.
EIP-3675 is a proposal to enable direct path validation in Ethereum. The proposal is in anticipation of a proposed chain merge between Ethereum Classic and Ethereum. The goal of the proposal is to clean up a number of existing issues, clarify some terminology, and to make the code base easier to maintain. It is not expected to be merged in the upcoming Ethereum chain merge.

News on the Blockchain
- EIP 3675 was developed in preparation for the next Chain merging.
- The Ethereum and Eth2 chains will be merged via EIP.
- Chain mergers, according to Buterin, are unlikely to happen in 2021.
For the network’s upcoming chain merger, a formal Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) has been prepared. Ethereum is one step closer to completing its long-awaited Proof of Stake (PoS) shift.
Furthermore, on July 22nd, Consensys researcher Mikhail Kalinin submitted a pull request for EIP-3675 on Github, the most trustworthy Ethereum blockchain solution. For the first time, a chain merger has been approved as a suggestion for improvement.
Tim Beiko, an Ethereum engineer, will now explain the Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP). On July 23, at the Etehreum Core Developer Conference.
As a result, the Ethereum and Eth2 chains will be merged, and the network’s consensus process will be moved away from proof of work. Stakeholders are also allowed to check transactions. Since the introduction of Eth2’s beacon chain in December 2020, according to the Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP), “The extended duration of operation without breakdowns shows the beacon chain system’s long-term viability,” he adds. And sees its preparedness to get behind the wheel and serve as a security provider for the Ethereum mainnet.”
Despite this, many members of the Ethereum community, including the project’s lead developer Vitalik Buterin, think that chain merges will be improbable until 2021.
The Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) arrives in the midst of the EIP-1559 Supporter NFT series auction, which began on July 21 via Mirror. Non-fungible tokens (NFT) show that they support the addition of an etching mechanism to the Ethereum fee market as part of the planned London Hardfork network improvements.
Even more so, with the December introduction of the beacon chain. Eth2 is now the second-largest PoS network in terms of monetary value.

On the 13th of February, Scilla will be merged into Ethereum. There will be a hard fork from which point on, all DAO’s will be stored on a new chain (testnet). This is to ensure that the DAO can only be moved and/or destroyed by the DAO itself.. Read more about eip-3675 github and let us know what you think.
